Durante su ponencia, en la “I Reunión Extraordinaria de la CIGS” que se viene realizando en el Auditorio de la Universidad Católica Santa María de Arequipa, que se ubica en el distrito de Umacollo, en la Ciudad Blanca, Cerrón Rojas, explicó las ventajas del plan que se está implementando en la Región Junín.
Precisó que, frente a la duplicidad de servicios que se brindaban en los hospitales de Huancayo, situación que terminaba por perjudicar a los pacientes, se decidió diferenciar y especializar los hospitales Daniel A. Carrión, El Carmen, y el Materno Infantil de El Tambo, cuyas nuevas denominaciones son “Hospital Clínico Quirúrgico Docente Daniel A. Carrión”, “Hospital Materno Infantil Docente El Carmen”, y la nueva “Clínica SOAT MINSA El Tambo”.
Agregó que, con la diferenciación y especialización, “se elimina la competencia absurda entre los establecimientos del MINSA, evita el maltrato del paciente y asegura la guardia médica con especialistas y ya no con médicos generales, como se hacía antes”.
Cerrón Rojas también destacó que, la creación de la Clínica SOAT MINSA, permitirá acabar con la corrupción de las clínicas particulares, que se han enriquecido con la prestación de este servicio, y al mismo tiempo, servirá para recaudar mayores recursos para mejorar la infraestructura y los recursos humanos de los establecimientos de salud del Estado.
Otro aspecto de la diferenciación y especialización que tuvo gran aceptación entre los presentes, fue la propuesta de formar nuevos especialistas en cada región, ya que los hospitales de Huancayo no solo brindarán el servicio asistencial, sino que además se ejercerá la docencia para la formación de profesionales médicos en cada región.
Asimismo, la aplicación de los programas regionales “Un Odontólogo por Colegio”, y “Médico de la Familia”, para mejorar la salud bucal y trabajar en la prevención de enfermedades infecto contagiosas, así como las enfermedades crónicas de generativas, fue gratamente comentado por los especialistas en salud pública, que asisten al evento.
Finalmente, Cerrón Rojas manifestó que los gobiernos regionales deben garantizar mínimamente cinco hospitales especializados. Clínico Quirúrgico Docente, Materno Infantil Docente, Medicina Tropical Docente, Salud Bucal Docente y la Clínica SOAT MINSA.
En esta reunión participan, también, los presidentes regionales Kléver Meléndez (Pasco) y Mauricio Rodríguez (Puno); representantes de las direcciones de salud de todas las regiones, funcionarios del Minsa y miembros de la Cooperación Internacional.
